Fasoo AI, the Korean enterprise software security company, is targeting a twofold increase in sales from its semiconductor security business, according to a report from The Elec.
The company, long known for enterprise document and data security, has been positioning its product line for the specific demands of chipmakers: protecting process recipes, design data, and intellectual property that circulate across fab operations, design houses, and equipment suppliers. The semiconductor industry's security spending has grown steadily as fabs digitize more of their operations and as leakage of process data — particularly around advanced nodes — carries direct commercial and geopolitical consequences.
The twofold sales growth target signals that Fasoo AI sees semiconductor customers as a strategic growth vertical rather than a side business. Korean chipmakers have expanded sharply in recent years, with Samsung Electronics and SK hynix investing heavily in advanced memory and foundry capacity, and each new fab adds to the volume of sensitive process and design data that requires protection.
Security vendors serving this segment compete on the ability to guard data at every stage — from design files shared with IP suppliers and EDA partners to manufacturing execution data inside the fab. The cost of failure is high. A single leaked process recipe or mask set at a leading-edge node can erode years of R&D investment, which is why chipmakers have tightened data governance across their supplier ecosystems.
Fasoo AI's growth plan comes as the broader Korean semiconductor supply chain ramps up. Domestic equipment, materials, and software suppliers are all seeking larger shares of chipmakers' capital and operating budgets, and Seoul's policy support for localization of the semiconductor supply chain has strengthened the commercial position of domestic vendors.
Whether Fasoo AI hits its target will depend on win rates against both domestic competitors and global data-security players already embedded in major fabs. The company has not disclosed the absolute revenue base from which it plans to double, so the scale of the ambition remains relative rather than absolute.
If achieved, the twofold increase would confirm semiconductor security as one of the fastest-growing verticals in Fasoo AI's portfolio, and would point to rising demand among chipmakers for tighter protection of process and design data as capacity expansion continues.
