Sivers Semiconductors, the Swedish supplier of radio-frequency silicon chips and photonics products, has announced changes to its senior leadership team as the company positions itself for what it calls its next phase of commercial growth.

The company, which operates through its two business units Sivers Photonics and Sivers Wireless, disclosed the leadership changes in a statement distributed via Yahoo Finance. The moves instead target the senior management layer below the top job, where the company says it needs additional capacity to convert its technology portfolio into volume sales.

The restructuring arrives as the company competes in two demanding markets. Sivers Wireless develops beamforming chips based on millimeter-wave technology, targeting 5G telecom networks and satellite communications terminals. Sivers Photonics builds optical semiconductor products aimed at fiber-optic networks and emerging applications such as AI data center interconnects.

Both segments sit in the middle of well-documented supply chain pressures. Millimeter-wave front-end components and photonics semiconductors both depend on specialty III-V compound semiconductor fabrication, a capacity pool far smaller and less fungible than mainstream silicon CMOS. Any vendor trying to scale from sampling to volume production in these markets must lock in wafer supply and qualify additional packaging partners before customers commit to design wins.

The company's framing of a "next phase of commercial growth" signals that management believes the technology validation stage is largely behind it and that execution now depends on sales, customer support and volume delivery rather than pure R&D. Leadership changes of this kind typically precede efforts to deepen engagement with tier-one customers in telecom infrastructure and satellite broadband, where design cycles run long and vendor qualification gates access to revenue.

Sivers has not disclosed revenue guidance or headcount changes tied to the reorganization. The statement also did not specify whether the changes involve internal promotions or external hires, or when the new leadership structure takes effect.
