Meta Quietly Launches Free Waddle World AI Journal in the Philippines

Meta quietly launched Waddle World, an AI pet journal presented as a free, adults-only 16-bit app in the Philippines. That is the confirmed release, not a worldwide rollout.

Meta presents the product as a “tamagotchi-style” pet game, although its Apple and Play Store listings call it a “16-bit pet care game” and “a daily journal disguised as a pet.” The listing tells users to talk, not type, with their pets, and the creatures create doodles to illustrate the conversations.

What does Waddle World do?

The app combines a conversational companion with casual games. Its “cozy games” include stacking groceries and word games. The Play Store description says:

“A little friend that listens. A cozy world that’s yours. Waddle World is a cozy 16-bit world where your pixel pet lives. Hatch a virtual pet, visit whenever you like, and let it get to know you.”
